Yoga Style
Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga is the name given to the system of yoga
taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research
Institute in Mysore, India. This method of yoga involves
synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of
postures--a process producing intense internal heat and
a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and
organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and

Iyengar Yoga
Iyengar Yoga focuses on the in-depth study of Asanas (postures)
and Pranayama (breath control). In Iyengar, Asanas are
held for considerable lengths of time in order to let
the effects of the poses penetrate deeper within the individual.
In addition, Iyengar allows for the use of different props,
such as wooden blocks, chairs, blankets and belts that
are used to help one adjust or support oneself in the
different postures. The beauty of Iyengar is its emphasis
on correct anatomical strength, and sensitivity in mind,

Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini is the Yoga of self-realization. Kundalini Yoga
is a potent and effective system of self-transformation
and personal development. This type of yoga stimulates

the nervous system and balance the glandular system (the
guardians of health) for increased stability and vitality.
Meditation improves mental concentration, sharpens awareness
